Waikiki Beach can be very crowded for a photo session, but some locations seem less crowded than others.

Beach Meeing Location Near Gilligan's Beach Shack Waikiki

The beach location near Gilligan's Beach Shack can be an excellent spot for an early morning or late afternoon photo session.

It has a Diamond Head as a backdrop.

The sand is a little rocky at this location.

Meeting Location Near The Rainbow Tower At Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki

One of my favorite spots to take photos in the morning is the Lagoon near the Rainbow Tower at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

An island in the middle of the Lagoon makes a perfect backdrop for a photo session.

It also has shade, fewer people, and cooler temperatures.

Beach Meeting Location Near The Hale Koa Hotel Waikiki

If you are planning to stay at or near the Hale Koa Hotel and just want to do a beach photo session with Diamond Head as a backdrop, I would recommend a morning session.

The Beach will have fewer people, and it will be much cooler temperatures.

We would meet on the sand outside the Hale Koa Barefoot Beach Bar.

Beach Meeting Location Near The Steak Shack Waikiki

The Best Spot for taking photos in Waikiki is near the Steak Shack.

It's a tiny little beach, but it's close to Diamond Head.

This location could be good for a morning or afternoon photo session for a couple, a family, or a proposal photo session.

* Must watch the Tide Chart see what time is low tide.
